Day starts with me going to college to collect my presentation boards. I asked the printer on Saturday to print for me, and keep it till Monday. It was 12pm. 14 weeks of slaving in front of the computer, planning, drafting, and printing 110 pages of the Visual Identification Manual.....comes down to this moment.
3 more hours till presentation time. Went to the library to set up my presentation boards (displays). Gosh, I was sweating like a water fountain. Sticky tacks here, there.... Why in the world did I print 19 pieces of A3 displays?!
Some of my classmates presented in the morning shift. There were initially 4 lecturers aka. Board of Directors. I fear Ms, Shan Li the most, the fiercest of the 4. But when it came to the afternoon shift, 4 became 3. Guess they all couldn't make it.
1 hour till presentation time. Been hearing many stories from classmates about how the board seriously gave critiques about their work. They were advising me to watch out for the new lecturer, who is quite fierce in her critiques. This worries me even more. Not to mention that this will be our most important presentation yet.
Its time. The 3 came in (Shan Li was not present. Thank goodness.). Mr. Soo, Mr. Mark, and the new "unknown" lecturer came in with their smiles...... grim smiles. Brr.... First my pictures were taken, then........... I began.
I was quite nervous at first, but later, butterflies-in-the-stomach went away quickly. I got to say what I wanted to say, which was good. I think I spoke about 6-7 minutes (limit time=10min). The best part is, I get to answer their questions. Nothing is more satisfying than that. Of course there were critiques, but not that serious. As they walked out of the door, a wave of relief overwhelmed me..... Aaaaahh, satisfaction.
As I sat in the car, I looked out the window.
There, in the horizon, sunlight burst forth through the trees.....slowly getting brighter, as if to acknowledge my achievement. It was a beautiful evening, and the sky never looked better.
