Again, I ignored my blog. Really thought of continuing my journal, but sometimes, a little laziness kicks in. :P
Well, today is an interesting day because I learned 2 things:
1) Route to Central Market
2) Performing arts isn't as ridiculous as I thought!
For those who don't know, take the LRT to Pasar Seni, then look for the "blue building", and walk straight towards it. Don't forget to zig zag across the bustling traffic of cars, motorcycles, and busses, cause you have to. :)
Enough about routes. I went there, with a couple of my good friends to visit 2 of our classmates' exhibition, Shan Fun and Numberism.
Shan Fun
I was greeted with ancient tribal elements from the Australian aborigine tribe. The aborigines like to use masks as a tool to scare off evil spirits, I think, and the masks were used as the main theme of the enviroment. My classmates organising this were given a stroke of luck, they invited a Japanese guy to play traditional Japanese music using traditional Japanese instruments. I say lucky, because he really makes the whole exhibition feel alive, traditionally of course. Oh yea, met my old church friend there, whom I've not seen for a very long time.
Numberism
We proceed to this exhibition, which has Numb3rs as its theme. Not the TV show, ya. Just numbers. I had a little hard time understanding, till I see some pictures like elevator buttons, ic, street signs, things like that...without numbers on it. Oh, now I get it. Its the revenge of numbers, as stated in the description! Haha... -_-"'
Ah, now here's a little something I did not expect to find, a musical! Performing arts graduates from Sunway University having a play, right on top of Numberism exhibition! Quite a number of "guai lou"(foreign) performers, I heard they're from Australia. Shh! Turn to silent mode, the fat lady is about to sing..... Indeed, there was a fat girl :P
Sorry, didn't mean to critisize.
And they are good, REALLY GOOD! Listen to them sing! Its like asking someone to sing to the microphone, where there isn't any!! Wow....no wonder Aaron ventured into this field. Its too darn lively! Loved it :)
Just too bad I didn't have my camera with me. Anyway, its a day!
